ME
Hi! I'm Camila, a pediatric ICU nurse who has always loved to learn and experience new things; thus, The Bucket List Project. Through this project, I have fallen in love with the adventurous locations these bucket list experiences have taken me. I have always been awe-struck at what life has to offer and through this project, I have gained an appreciation for the culture and people that surround all of us. I hope to share those experiences so that you too can find your project.

A little about...

My favorite place in the world
THE ORIGIN OF

Growing up, I have lived all down the east coast. Originating from New York City, the city of lights, then hopping across the river to New Jersey, where I then fell a few states below for the southern charm of North Carolina, and eventually spiced it all the way down to Miami, Florida.

As I grew up, I was always perceived as having to be more mature for my age. They say I carry myself that way. That I have it all together and planned out. For the most part, the OCD-and-excessive-planning- part, may be true. I grew up writing lists and planning my life out every step of the way. Let me let you in on a little secret though: I am still a mess! An organized mess, but a mess nonetheless. I was horrible at actually accomplishing any of it or even starting it in the first place!

Part of the reason is that I have always been so intrigued by what life has to offer. My mind unravels at life’s hidden gems, constantly pulling at the seams of mysteries I have yet to discover. The more I discovered, the more I would add to my "list." I love to write, travel, create bad puns, learn just about anything, attempt adventurous challenges, laugh at terrible jokes and food…. I love food!

Since there is just so much I want to do, I have discovered what helped me start accomplishing these bucket list dreams of mine. I had been feeling very fatigued for months and wanted to try exercising to boost my energy levels. I then found a 30-day running challenge, and I ran every single day of it! Let’s rewind for a second, I just said: 30 days of straight running! The thing I hate the most! I realized that writing my challenges down and visually seeing them, motivated me. So I thought, what better way to tackle my bucket list than to keep track of my progress with a blog where I can document my aspirations and accomplishments.

The best way to get to know me and what the Bucket List Project is all about, is to check out my bucket list on my home page. You will gain an idea of what interests me, what inspires me, and what challenges me. I will be sharing what I have learned and will learn along the way. So, if you are reading this either because you are interested in adventure or if you are like me, in love with adventure but a little too comfortable with your habitual daily tasks, I hope my blog inspires you to get out there and start accomplishing your dreams, whatever they may be.

What you will find here
Everything in this blog will boil down to three things: Travel, Challenges, and Lifestyle. This blog centralizes around the Bucket List in which you will find items that pertain to these three categories; however, these categories encompass so much more than what is on the bucket list.

The Bucket List:
Here you will see all the things I feel like I simply must do, hence, the bucket list.

Travel:
* Under "Destinations," you will find bucket list items that require me to travel to wonderful destinations. However, keep in mind I will be doing so much more in this destination than my bucket list item and you can read about it in the blogs that I will post!
Also, you will be able to browse by region, countries, and cities to find locations I have traveled to that may not have a bucket list adventure in its midst but certainly warrants a visit!

*In "Travel Hacks," you will be able to browse through travel hacks I have shared to help you afford, plan, and pack for your own adventurous trips!

*In the "Categories" page, you will be able to quickly browse different categories and get spark notes such as best bars, restaurants, airbnbs I have discovered around the world!

Challenges:
Here you will find any bucket list items that I find challenging either physically or mentally.
